Equus Enlightened was born from a lifelong connection with horses that began on my first trail ride at age seven. In that moment, it felt as though I was always meant to find them—or perhaps they found me. Over the years, like so many others, I felt the stifling influence of traditional training systems and boarding practices. My desire to advocate for horses often felt unheard, pushing me toward paths away from the life with horses that called to me. But through it all, the horses I loved were showing me a new way forward, a way that would allow them to live as they’re meant to and give us a path to grow alongside them.

Many horse owners feel this same frustration, wanting to break free from outdated systems that don’t honor the horse’s needs or our desire for connection. At Equus Enlightened, we’re here to guide you through that journey and support you as you create a more harmonious, natural life for your horses. We believe horses are more than performers; they’re autonomous, sensitive beings who need the freedom to thrive. Traditional practices can place unnecessary stress on both horse and human, often making it difficult to reach our goals and leaving horses unable to reach their full potential.
